Fenway Just Got Better

Coca-Cola yesterday joined the lineup of corporate heavy hitters with naming rights to different sections at Fenway Park.

The Boston Red Sox unveiled plans to give the Atlanta-based soft drink giant naming rights to a new luxury seating section at the ballpark.

The new 412-seat Coca-Cola Corner, where seats will cost $75 a pop, will be crowned by a 42-by-15-foot red and white sign with 1,059 LED lights that will scroll through the “Coca-Cola” logo. The sign is a replica of the Coke sign that stood above Storrow Drive for decades, said Sam Kennedy, senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Sox.
